Oxford leaders coordinate recovery efforts after winter storm
The City of Oxford, local organizations, and faith leaders gathered to coordinate the next phase of recovery following a recent winter storm, according to a city news release.
Officials emphasized that although the ice has melted, residents’ needs remain. The leaders discussed efforts to assist those who may not afford repairs such as electrical work, plumbing, and damage caused by fallen trees.
On Tuesday, the city plans to release a survey on OXMS.NET to gather information about community needs. The survey is not a guarantee of individual assistance but aims to help leaders prioritize efforts to serve the most residents.
Residents are encouraged to share the survey and its link when available. The city also thanked community members featured in photos from the meeting, noting that the volunteers and leaders will continue working until the community recovers fully.
