Oxford Police Department honors top members at awards banquet

Oxford police celebrated its personnel during the LCLEOA Awards Banquet last night, honoring staff for their service and professionalism.

Communications Officer La’Erin Burton received the department’s Communications Officer of the Year award, while Officer Eli McMain was named Rookie of the Year, according to a department statement.

Retired Lt. Mark Hodges was also recognized for his years of dedicated service and recent retirement. The department expressed pride and gratitude for the contributions of all honorees.

Officials praised the professionalism and commitment that members bring to their roles and to the Oxford community.
