Oxford Police Department Visits Kindergarten Class

Oxford Police Department officers visited Mrs. Dowdy and Ms. Kennedi’s kindergarten class to foster community relations and educate students about law enforcement. Data analyst JeKendra Milliner and School Resource Officer Bagwell spoke with students about their roles and answered questions, according to the department.

Students enjoyed the interactive session, which aimed to build positive relationships between officers and the community’s youngest residents. The department thanked the school for the opportunity to participate in the classroom visit.

The visit highlights ongoing efforts by local law enforcement to engage with community members, including educational outreach to children.
