Oxford Police officers complete specialized crime scene training

Oxford police officers Investigative Sgt. Kam Herod and Detective Atziri Ortiz completed a specialized crime scene training, according to a department social media post.

After the training, they returned to Oxford to work with the department’s Criminal Investigations Division. The hands-on session covered fingerprint development, collection, preservation, and crime scene processing techniques.

The department emphasized its commitment to continuous training and skill development. Officers aim to improve their investigative capabilities and share knowledge within the team, the post said.
