Oxford Police recognizes assistant victim services coordinator as first responder of the month

Oxford Police Department has named Christina Hervey, its assistant victim services coordinator, as the First Responder of the Month, according to a department post.

During a recent call, Hervey stepped in to assist dispatchers amid a rapidly evolving situation. She helped establish communication, calmed the scene, and contributed to a safe resolution of the call, the department said.

Her willingness to assist wherever needed exemplifies the teamwork and compassion that the department values, officials added. The department also thanked Strive 4 Marketing and Delta Dog for sponsoring this month’s luncheon and supporting law enforcement efforts.
