Oxford School District urges caution as traffic increases near school zones

The Oxford School District urged drivers to use extra caution in school zones as traffic increases over the next few days.

In a Facebook post, the district asked motorists to stay alert while driving through school zones, watch their speed and put their phones down. Drivers also were asked to watch for students walking during dismissal.

The district said that a few extra seconds of attention can help keep students, school resource officers and staff safe.
