Oxford School District warns of traffic delays during homecoming parade

The Oxford School District warned motorists of temporary traffic delays associated with a permitted homecoming parade in downtown Oxford. The district’s Facebook post said the event was scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

The parade route was set to travel from Jackson Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive to University Avenue and South Lamar Boulevard, continue around the Square and return to Jackson Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

Motorists were advised to use alternate routes when possible and exercise caution while traveling in the area.
