Oxford to host community panel on prioritizing trail connections in parks plan

Oxford is hosting a community panel tomorrow evening to gather input on the first connection to prioritize as it implements its Parks & Trails Master Plan.

The event, scheduled for April 7th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., will be held at the Oxford Conference Center, according to city officials.

The city aims to develop a connected network of green spaces, safe walking routes to schools, complete bike lanes, pocket parks, and street accessibility improvements under the plan. Community members are encouraged to participate and share ideas on trail access, biking routes, and neighborhood needs.

City representatives say the event provides an opportunity for residents to influence the development of Oxford’s transportation and recreation infrastructure as part of its broader master plan efforts.

Details about the event and how residents can contribute are available on the city’s website or by contacting local officials.
