Oxford unveils first St. Jude Dream Home with community messages of hope
Oxford’s first-ever St. Jude Dream Home hosted a special event Friday as community members and sponsors gathered to write messages of hope, love, and encouragement on the home’s subfloor. The house, built by Samuels Construction, is set to feature luxury finishes and exposed wood beams.
The messages, which will remain beneath the final flooring, symbolize community support for the mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Organizers said the gesture represents a foundation of hope for children and families affected by serious illnesses.
Participants expressed gratitude for the community’s generosity. The event underscored the collective effort to support lifesaving work at St. Jude, with the home serving as a tangible reminder of local commitment to the cause.
The home will be part of a fundraising effort to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which treats children regardless of their ability to pay. Final construction is underway, with the house expected to be completed soon.
