Parents and Visitors Invited to Safe Site Event at Downtown Square

Parents and visitors heading to the Downtown Square on Saturday night are encouraged to stop by the Safe Site Tent across from Funky’s starting at 6 p.m., according to event organizers.

The Safe Site Tent provides a space for people to seek help, ask questions, or find out what to do next. Officers from the Downtown Unit will be available to meet attendees, share information about the Square, and introduce themselves to the community.

Organizers said the tent is also a resource for those needing a ride, trying to find a group, or recharging their phones. The goal is to foster a safe and connected community, making visitors and new students feel comfortable approaching officers for assistance.

Event organizers emphasized that the Safe Site Tent is there to help everyone have a safe experience at the Square. They encouraged the public to stop by and get to know the officers on duty.
