Lafayette County sheriff recognizes three students at Lafayette Upper Elementary

Sheriff Joey East and School Resource Officer Sgt. Michael Bevill recognized three students as the Sheriff’s Students of the Month for September at Lafayette Upper Elementary, according to a Facebook post from the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office.

The students were selected by their teachers for their character, leadership and positive example among their classmates, the sheriff’s office said.

The honorees were Ava from Mrs. Roberts’ third-grade class, Aiden from Ms. Malone’s fourth-grade class and Noah from Mrs. Jackson’s fifth-grade class.

The sheriff’s office said the students represented the values of respect, responsibility and kindness.
