Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office introduces detention center supervisor Tony Goolsby

The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office introduced Tony Goolsby, an alternate supervisor at the Lafayette County Detention Center, in a Facebook post highlighting members of the agency’s team.

The office said its “Meet Us Monday” series introduces a different Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office team member each Monday. The series asks employees about where they are from, what they enjoy about their jobs and what they want the public to know about the Sheriff’s Office or Lafayette County.

Goolsby is from Oxford, Mississippi, according to the post. He said he enjoys helping people deal with their situations when they enter the Lafayette County Detention Center.

Goolsby also said correctional officers and staff at the detention center are there to help the people of Lafayette County, including the public and inmates in the facility’s care.
