Louisiana State Police troopers sworn in to assist Mississippi law enforcement during Ole Miss-LSU game

Mississippi Department of Public Safety said Commissioner Sean Tindell swore in Louisiana State Police troopers who would work alongside Mississippi law enforcement during the Ole Miss-LSU game day.

The department said its personnel, Louisiana State Police troopers and Oxford Police had been briefed and were prepared to work together during the game day festivities. The agencies’ stated goal was to help keep fans, students and visitors safe.

The announcement was made in a Facebook post by the Mississippi Department of Public Safety ahead of the matchup.
