FEMA Disaster Recovery Center Opens Monday in Lafayette County

A FEMA Disaster Recovery Center opens Monday in Lafayette County to assist residents impacted by the January 23-27 winter ice storm. The center is located at the Lafayette County Multipurpose Arena at 70 F.D. Buddy East Parkway in Oxford.

The center will be open from noon to 6 p.m. on opening day and will operate Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., with Saturday hours from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. It will be closed on Sundays, according to FEMA.

Trained specialists at the DRC can help residents with in-person FEMA registration, disaster assistance information, and referrals to recovery resources. Those unable to visit in person can apply online at DisasterAssistance.gov, call 1-800-621-FEMA, or use the FEMA app, available on iOS and Android devices.
