Lafayette County E-911 Director Paul Lytle Retires after Decades of Service

The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office and Sheriff Joey East are recognizing the retirement of E-911 Director Paul Lytle after more than a decade of service to the community.

Lytle joined the sheriff’s office in 2012 as a dispatcher under former Sheriff Buddy East. He quickly established himself as a dependable presence in the communications center. Under Sheriff East’s leadership, Lytle was promoted to E-911 Director, where he continued to serve with professionalism and commitment, according to the sheriff’s office.

Throughout his career, Lytle provided a calming voice during emergencies and worked tirelessly behind the scenes to dispatch law enforcement, fire, and EMS personnel efficiently. His leadership has left a lasting impact on the office and the residents of Lafayette County, officials said.

While he will be missed, the sheriff’s office expressed gratitude for his years of dedicated service. They also announced that Taylor McNece will succeed Lytle as E-911 Director, with confidence she will uphold the department’s standards of excellence.

“Thank you, Paul, for your service,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
