Lafayette County K9 Teams Conduct Search and Rescue Training

Lafayette County’s K9 teams, Beka and Lilo, participated in continued search and rescue training at Lafayette Career and Technical Center on Wednesday, according to the Lafayette County Emergency Management Agency.

Emergency response teams utilize scent detection dogs to locate missing persons in various situations, including dense woods, collapsed structures, and disaster zones. Regular training ensures these teams remain prepared for emergencies.

The agency expressed gratitude to LCTC for hosting the training session, emphasizing the importance of maintaining readiness for community safety.
