Oxford hosts Safe Square event with safety supplies and resources

The Oxford Police Department is hosting Safe Square tonight at Oxford Square from 8 to 10 p.m. The event is held at the OPD Safe Site Tent and aims to provide community members with free safety supplies, including a NightCap drink cover and glow stick, according to organizers.

The William Magee Center for AOD and Wellness Education is partnering with police to distribute the supplies and promote safety awareness. Family Crisis Services will also be present, offering resources and information to community members.

Organizers encourage residents to stop by the tent before heading out for the evening. The event offers an opportunity to meet officers, receive safety items, and learn about community resources.
