Oxford Police Department Hosts Health Science Students for Tour and K-9 Demonstration

Oxford Police Department welcomed students from Oxford High School’s health science classes for a behind-the-scenes look at law enforcement operations Thursday.

The students toured the department, learned about various roles within law enforcement, and viewed equipment and technology used daily by officers, according to a department news release.

The visit included a demonstration by the department’s K-9 unit, providing students with an up-close look at the skills and training of police dogs. Officers expressed enthusiasm for engaging with the community and inspiring future professionals in law enforcement.
