Oxford police visit OPC summer camp to teach fingerprinting skills

Oxford police detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division visited the OPC summer camp on Thursday. They brought case files and fingerprint kits to teach campers about forensic techniques.

Investigators demonstrated how fingerprints are lifted and examined during criminal investigations. The activity sparked numerous questions from the children, many of whom expressed interest in becoming detectives someday.

Oxford police thanked OPC for inviting them to the camp, which aims to educate youth about law enforcement careers and safety. The event provided a hands-on experience for aspiring detectives and young community members.
