Playoff Scenarios for North 5A and 6A
Below are the playoff scenarios for each team in Divisions 1-5A, 2-5A, 1-6A, and 2-6A.
Division 1-5A
Lafayette – Commodores are a 1-seed with a win OR a loss AND a Center Hill win AND a Grenada loss. Commodores are a 4-seed with a loss AND a West Point win. Commodores are a 3-seed with a loss AND a Center Hill win AND a Grenada win.
Grenada – Chargers are a 1-seed with a Lake Cormorant win AND EITHER a win over New Hope OR a West Point win. Chargers are a 2-seed with a Lafayette win, regardless of their result against New Hope OR with a loss AND a Lake Cormorant win AND a Center Hill win.
Lake Cormorant – Gators are a 2-seed with a win AND EITHER a Grenada win OR a West Point win. Gators are a 4-seed with a loss. Gators are a 3-seed with a win AND BOTH a New Hope win over Grenada AND a Center Hill win.
West Point – Green Wave are a 3-seed with a win. Green Wave are out of playoff contention with a loss.
Center Hill – Mustangs are out of playoff contention with a loss. Mustangs are a 3-seed with a win AND a Lafayette win. Mustangs are a 4-seed with a win AND a Lake Cormorant win.
Division 2-5A
Ridgeland – Titans are a 1-seed with a Vicksburg win over Holmes County Central. Titans are a 3-seed with a Holmes County Central win over Vicksburg.
Neshoba Central – Rockets are a 2-seed with a Vicksburg win over Holmes County Central. Rockets are a 1-seed with a Holmes County Central win over Vicksburg.
Holmes County Central – Jaguars are a 2-seed with a win, 3-seed with loss.
Vicksburg – Gators are locked to the 4-seed.
Division 1-6A
Oxford – Chargers are a 1-seed with a win, 2-seed with a loss.
Tupelo – Golden Wave are a 1-seed with a win. Golden Wave are a 2-seed with a loss AND EITHER a Hernando loss OR a Horn Lake win. Golden Wave are a 3-seed with a loss AND a Hernando win AND a Horn Lake loss.
Hernando – Tigers are a 2-seed with a win AND a Tupelo loss AND a Horn Lake loss. Tigers are a 4-seed with a Horn Lake win AND EITHER a loss OR a Tupelo win. Tigers are a 3-seed if one of the following three scenarios occur: (1) Hernando wins AND Southaven defeats Horn Lake AND Tupelo defeats Oxford. (2) Hernando wins AND Horn Lake defeats Southaven AND Oxford defeats Tupelo. (3) Hernando loses AND Southaven defeats Horn Lake.
Horn Lake – Eagles are a 3-seed with a win AND EITHER a Hernando loss OR a Tupelo win. Eagles are a 4-seed with win AND a Hernando win AND a Tupelo loss. Eagles are out of playoff contention with a loss to Southaven.
Southaven – Chargers are a 4-seed with a win. Chargers are out of playoff contention with a loss to Horn Lake.
Division 2-6A
Clinton – Arrows are a 1-seed with a win. Arrows are a 3-seed with a 1-4 point loss to Starkville. Arrows are a 4-seed with a 5+ point loss to Starkville.
Madison Central – Jaguars are a 1-seed with a Starkville win over Clinton. Jaguars are a 4-seed with a Clinton win over Starkville.
Warren Central – Vikings are a 2-seed with a Starkville win over Clinton. Vikings are a 3-seed with a Clinton win over Starkville.
South Panola – Tigers are a 2-seed with a Clinton win over Starkville. Tigers are out of playoff contention with a Starkville win over Clinton.
Starkville – Yellow Jackets are a 3-seed with a 5+ point win over Clinton. Yellow Jackets are a 4-seed with a 1-4 point win over Clinton. Yellow Jackets are out of playoff contention with a loss.
