Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office remembers 2,977 lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001
The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office shared a message Sept. 11 remembering the 2,977 people who lost their lives in the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
The message honored first responders, law enforcement officers, firefighters and “everyday heroes” who ran toward danger to save others. It also addressed families who continue to carry the loss and people who serve and protect their communities.
The office’s message said, “We remember, we honor, and we will never forget.”
