Mississippi Department of Public Safety recognizes law enforcement officers

The Mississippi Department of Public Safety recognized police officers and other law enforcement officers in a social media message marking National Thank a Police Officer Day.

The department said its officers serve and protect communities across Mississippi. It also expressed gratitude for the professionalism, courage and commitment of law enforcement officers throughout the state.

The message described officers’ work as including responding during crises and building relationships in schools and neighborhoods. The department thanked those who serve for “answering the call.”
