Lafayette County man arrested on charge of murdering his wife

A Lafayette County man has been arrested after a welfare check was called to his residence where his wife was found deceased.

From the Lafayette County Sheriffs Department:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

On Friday June 11, 2021 at approximately 1215 hours, Deputies with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to 204 Spring Lake Cove in The Lakes subdivision for a welfare concern.

Upon arrival and at the completion of the investigation deputies arrested David Lee Swims Jr. 41 y/o BM for Murder.

David is currently being held at the Lafayette County Detention Center and has a bond set by the Justice Court Judge of Lafayette County at $100,000.00. The victim being his wife Anteeatta Archie Swims 36 y/o BF.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Annteeatta Archie Swims and to the family of David Lee Swims Jr.
